A Wonderful Plan For Your Life

Jeremiah 29:10-11: For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place. 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

God had an expected end for the people of Israel and He has an expected end for you and me. God had seventy years of specific details for them that were not in the Bible. And there are specific details of His plans for you and for me that are not in the Bible. Those specific details will always fit within the principles in the Bible. Those details will be slightly different for you than they are for me. Different times, places and tasks but always within the principles laid down in the Bible. The more we study the Bible, the more we will know the specific details that are not in the Bible. If all the details for my life or yours were written down it would take a railroad train to carry them for just one life, much less billions of them. Rather than pull a train around, He has given us the Bible, which most of us can carry in one hand. His plans for our lives will ALWAYS be more wonderful than our own. He wants to save us from past sins and keep us from future sins by guiding us always. A simple principle: Thy will be done in my life.

There are many specifics for my life that He will only reveal to me and many specifics for your life that He will only reveal to you. We must establish a personal relationship with Him by receiving Jesus and maintaining it by communicating with Him, hearing Him and following Him.

John 10:27: My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

We need to follow Jesus and He has also given us human leaders to follow. In following Jesus we will follow others while He wants us to follow them. We will find them mostly in His churches.

Ephesians 4:11: And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

The Lord has given me many spiritual leaders to follow for specific periods of time. They were all followers of Jesus. Even though he went to be with the Lord long ago, I still try to follow the Apostle Paul and hope to follow Him all of my life. He authored many books of the Bible under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We can find many of God*s plans and principles in these two passages:

1 Corinthians 11:1: Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

The longer I am saved, the more I can look back see and rejoice over His wonderful work in my life and my own foolishness. Every joyful Christian I know can do that.
